Akustak® MODULAR STUDIOS
Patented Modular System for Top-Tier Studio & Set Builds

The Akustak® module is a patented, multi-layer building block, engineered with overlapping lap joints and stabilising tenon joints for a secure structural connection. Including a high-density mineral insulation core and interchangeable fascias, this single prefabricated unit is designed for rapid horizontal and vertical assembly within a single or twin-independent frame, to deliver laboratory-tested, high-performance sound isolation.
On assembly, the Akustak® modules slide and lock together seamlessly to form a contiguous, flush acoustic envelope, engineered for robust room-within-a-room studio environments. The system adjusts to single or twin-frame configurations to satisfy a broad range of acoustic performance criteria, while offering a rapid, fully demountable and reusable format, ideal for media set builds.
Designed for materials optimisation, Akustak® acoustic modular wall system eliminates over-ordering and expendable off-cuts. Its unique modular form enables disassembly and reuse. Factory-made to tolerances of 0.5 mm, Akustak® acoustic modular wall system seamlessly interconnects; minimising on-site errors and re-work.
Measuring < 670 x 1200 mm, Akustak® modules fit through narrow corridors/staircases and inside elevators. Weighing < 25 kg, they can be safely manually handled by one person, as per HSE guidelines.
Prefabricated and portable, Akustak® acoustic modular wall installations are a rapid process of assembly; from 15 sq/m, per hour, per fitter.
Manufactured off-site, Akustak® acoustic modular wall system minimises trades and site activities; enhancing health and safety standards on-site.
Akustak® acoustic modular wall system seamlessly integrates acoustic door-sets, window-sets and service penetrations. It supports surface-mounted fixtures and fittings, without reinforcements and/or wall plugs. Fascias are available in a variety of materials, colours and finishes.
Laboratory tested for resistance to sound, Akustak® acoustic modular wall system delivers industry leading attenuation levels.
Laboratory tested for resistance to sound and fire, Akustak® acoustic modular wall system can achieve full Building Regulations Part – E and B compliance, subject to site conditions and project design parameters.
AkuStudio
A twin independent frame, acoustic modular wall system; typically installed to form new spaces/separations, where very high levels of sound insulation are required.
UKAS-accredited laboratory tested for resistance to sound (in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010 and 717-1: 2013), AkuStudio can achieve Building Regulations Part – E compliance, subject to site conditions and project design parameters.
Based on UKAS-accredited laboratory testing of Aku125 for resistance to fire (in accordance with BS EN 1364-1: 2015), AkuStudio can achieve Building Regulations Part – B compliance, subject to site conditions and project design parameters.
